What's new in KaikuSDR
Versions are dates: 2026.10.3 is the fourth build of October 2026. A licence covers every version released up to and including the
month its year ends in (docs/WEBSITE-AND-LICENCE.md §2.3). Newest first. Only released versions are listed; the builds before the
first release were never offered to anyone (owner, 2026-10-11).
2026.10.4
- A refunded licence stops working: with a licence in use, the app fetches the list of refunded licences about once a week. The request carries nothing about you, and the free version never makes it. The Licence page says when a licence was refunded.
- The user guide, rewritten page by page.
2026.10.3 — 2026-10-11
The first public version, for macOS (Apple silicon) and Windows.
- Scans a whole band at once with one or more RTL-SDR dongles or Airspys, hears what is on the air, names and keeps channels.
- The free version runs one receiver. Full runs as many as you have and adds the CSV export, speech to text, IQ files and audio for other programs. A Full licence is a text you paste in once. It covers a year of updates, and those versions are yours to keep.
- The demo, for a computer without a receiver: simulated transmissions on the bands of where you are, including two conversations, one in English and one in Finnish, which the Conversation tab writes down when speech to text is on.
- Updates from the app itself, on request only.
- Problem reports: after a crash, for a receiver that stopped, when the page breaks, or whenever you press Report a problem, a report of what happened is written to your computer and can be sent to the developer, but only when you press Send, after seeing the whole text. It never carries your name, your channels or what was heard.
